All work and no play makes Jack a sad bugger! And what about Jill and the kids? Find some balance in your day, your week, your month, your year.

Things getting out of balance? Do you find you’re always saying “I don’t have enough time?”

The ‘work hard / play hard’ cycle can take its toll on our health.

The Dalai Lama, when asked what surprised him most about people, answered “Man” because he sacrifices his health to make money, then he sacrifices money to getbetter, and then he worries so much about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the moment or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die and then dies having never really lived.

Key Points:

  • Keep fit, eat healthy, be smoke-free and have regular health checks
  • Don’t bottle up your worries – talk about them with a mate you trust
  • The Dalai Lama said it... Homer Simpson said it... try not to “sweat the small stuff”
